Matt and I are enjoying the Christmas season! We listened to Christmas music last night while we cooked for our ward Christmas party. OK-good lesson for all of you- since our ward is so small we have NOT had a activity committee. Our activities are just assigned out as little assignments to each group- just like the new handbook says. Well the Relief Society did the food assignments, while I appreciate the fact that its not always easy, however listen to the outcome. About 10 cheesy potato casseroles, 10 green bean casseroles, rolls, ham. It was ridiculous that for our tiny ward all this food, they made us bring food for 12 and at LEAST 2 dozen cookies. We didn't even make a dent in the casseroles or the cookies. So, first lesson: more variety in the menu-we wished they would have had a salad/fruit, something light, Don't just ask for 2 items! Second-vary the dessert as well-one can only eat so many cookies. haha! Oh well, it was fun!
Matt's doing really well in school. He is super busy with lots of math homework (man they made him buy this huge graphing calculator that's practically the size of a computer, jk). Then the busiest part are his labs. He's taking two labs the give him hands on experience of working with electrical equipment and making lights turn on with wires, chips, and switches. (They made him buy this electrical box kit that looks like a bomb box. haha) So he's busy but loving his new career path. He's always so appreciative to me for working so that he can go to school. But I continue to remind him that its best for both of us!!!!
